Sara K. Sampson

Sara K. Sampson is an Emmy and Annie Award-winning filmmaker based in Oakland, CA. Sara received a BS in Computer Science in her home state at the University of Kentucky and moved to California in 2012 to launch her career at Pixar Animation Studios. Over the course of five years, Sara contributed to several features such as the Academy Award-winning films COCO and INSIDE OUT.
Within the past decade, Sara has built and supervised seven productions from the ground up, developing over 10 hours of breakout hits and award-winning films. Sara has formed and managed global teams of 400+ individual contributors throughout her career. Some of her early works include one of the first narrative Unity real-time rendered shorts, SONDER, the Emmy Award-winning LOVE, DEATH, + ROBOTS episode, THE WITNESS, and Emmy Award-winning Google Spotlight Stories film + VR experience, AGE OF SAIL.
Sara recently produced two seasons of the Emmy Award-winning Glen Keane Productions and Netflix Original Series, TRASH TRUCK, as well as the Academy Award-nominated short, OPERA. She is the co-executive producer and producer of the Annie Award-winning Netflix film, ONI: THUNDER GOD'S TALE, and continues to develop and write independent films. [IMDb]
